About Holden Weather

Holden Weather represents the online platform of Holden Meteorological Services, founded in 2008 by Eric Holden. The company offers tailored weather forecasts and routing services for maritime users, specifically focusing on assisting elite high-performance sailors participating in both inshore and offshore competitions. Eric has provided support to athletes across three Olympic Games.

Eric earned his degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of British Columbia and honed his skills as a professional weather forecaster at Environment Canada, where he obtained a post-graduate diploma in Operational Meteorology. He is recognized as an Accredited Consulting Meteorologist by the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society

He possesses a deep understanding of his clients' needs, as he is an accomplished yachtsman with over 100,000 nautical miles of sailing experience across all the world's oceans. He notably completed a circumnavigation as the victorious skipper of the 2013/14 Clipper Round the World Race and has achieved podium finishes as a navigator in numerous prestigious offshore races. Additionally, he holds qualifications as an MCA master mariner and RYA ocean yachtmaster.
